Stationairy Gas Detection
In addition to various gas analyzers, Ravebo also supplies both portable and fixed gas detection systems for different applications. In some cases, it is desirable to use fixed gas detection alongside or instead of portable gas detection. Examples of situations where gas detection is advisable include: detecting gases in areas with a high risk of explosion. By monitoring the LEL and UEL and responding accordingly, explosions can be prevented. Toxic gases can cause harm to people and the environment, which is why detecting these gases is often essential. Another common application is monitoring the ambient oxygen concentration—oxygen displacement by other gases can create dangerous situations for personnel. Therefore, it is important to measure the oxygen level. Building a detection system starts with selecting the appropriate sensor. Options include electrochemical, catalytic, paramagnetic, zirconium, or infrared cells. The gases to be detected and their corresponding ranges vary widely. Feel free to contact us for advice on which gases to detect and the various methods available for portable and fixed gas detection. Sensors: By using smart sensors, they can be easily replaced and are operational within seconds. These sensors have a long lifespan and proven accuracy.
The Right Transmitter for Portable and Fixed Gas Detection
The selected sensor is housed in a transmitter. Transmitters can be configured with various options. The simplest version features a 4–20 mA output signal. Additional options include a display for reading current concentration levels, visual and audible alarms, programmable relays, and a Modbus output. By connecting one or more transmitters to a controller, multiple response actions can be programmed based on the current concentration. Combining several transmitters with a controller enables the creation of a fully autonomous detection system. Alternatively, the system can be integrated with an existing DCS system, allowing concentration values to be monitored directly from the site’s control panel. Systems can be expanded seamlessly by linking multiple modules. Feel free to ask us about all available possibilities.
