Dilution System for Heated Gas Sampling and Gas Analysis
A gas analyzer is always designed based on the measurement range and the level of accuracy required for the analysis. In applications such as efficiency testing or specific R&D processes, the required ranges can vary significantly, which could lead to the need for multiple analyzers for the same component analysis.
An alternative is the use of a dilution system, allowing the same analyzer to be used across both high and low concentration ranges. In the case of heated measurement systems such as FID and FTIR, it is essential that the dilution system performs accurately at the elevated sampling temperature of 180 °C.

Heated Analyzer
For R&D applications requiring both high and low concentration measurements using a heated FTIR analyzer, we developed a system capable of performing a 1:200 dilution. The entire system operates at 180 °C, including the sampling system and the measurement cell inside the gas analyzer.
