Sampling and Analysis System for Pilot Plant
Emission Monitoring with a Certified CEMS
For a pilot plant, we integrated a certified CEMS (Continuous Emission Monitoring System) with a customized heated sequential sampling system and pre-sampling unit to perform various online process measurements, emission monitoring, and efficiency evaluations. All with the shortest possible response time.
Various Analyses
For the analysis of various gaseous components, an FTIR analyzer is used, along with a paramagnetic cell-based analyzer for oxygen. Dust is monitored inline using an optical measurement principle.
FTIR is commonly used in the following processes:
- Monitoring emissions from process streams using Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS)
- Process optimization
- R&D environments focused on:
- Greenhouse gases from soil
- TiO2 in paint products using closed-loop systems
- Catalysts
- Carbon dioxide storage
- Engine emission measurements
- Semiconductor industry
- Anesthesia gases
- Compressor measurements
- Phosgene monitoring

Short Response Time
Two lines are continuously sampled at 180 °C. The system then switches between the lines for the analyzers to measure. The connection between the pre-sampling and the analyzer is kept short to minimize total response time. After the FTIR system, the sample gas is cooled and conditioned for oxygen analysis using the paramagnetic analyzer.
Flexible Design with Mobile Cart
The complete setup is mounted on a mobile cart, manufactured in one of our workshops, allowing for flexible placement to support future developments and experiments. All data is delivered in the required format and integrated into the customer’s proprietary data registration system. We assisted the customer with implementation and visualization of the data in their system.
