Innovative Air Purification by Virus Free Air
Virus Free Air B.V. is a Dutch company that develops and supplies innovative electrostatic air purification systems. Virus Free Air focuses on cleaning and disinfecting air with very high efficiency. The technology is aimed at purifying (ambient) air from dust, aerosols, and biological contaminants.
Need for Flexible and Portable Instruments
Because experiments and setups in the R&D laboratory of Virus Free Air are regularly modified and field research is conducted to assess the efficiency of the air purification systems in real-world situations, a flexible and portable instrument is essential.
Use of the Grimm 1.109 Aerosol Spectrometer
To test these systems optimally and flexibly, both under laboratory conditions and in practice, Virus Free Air uses the Grimm 1.109 aerosol spectrometer. The Grimm 1.109 is a portable aerosol spectrometer that measures particle concentration and size distribution over 31 channels within 6 seconds. This type of spectrometer can provide direct information on particle count, (calculated) mass, and size distribution. Because the Grimm 1.109 is a portable and accurate particle spectrometer with a low detection limit of 250 nm, it is widely applicable.
