Flow Calibrator CF-1: An Innovation in Field Calibration
The Flow Calibrator model CF-1 is a robust and compact calibrator designed for field use. At the heart of this flow calibrator is a laminar flow element. In this component, the medium flows through a bundle of small tubes, creating a laminar flow. Due to the resistance in this element, a pressure difference can be measured. This pressure difference is directly proportional to the flow rate.
Wide Applicability and High Precision
The dynamic range of the CF-1 is 1:100. For applications such as personal sampling, the unit is equipped with a measurement cell of 50 – 5000 Ncc/min. For high flow applications, such as particulate matter samplers, it features a measurement cell of 0.45 – 45 Nl/min. The unit is extremely compact and can be connected on both the suction and blow sides. Ambient pressure and the temperature of the medium (air) are measured during flow measurement. Reporting is available in both normalized and actual conditions. Additionally, the data is integrated over time, allowing for volume logging. Optionally, the unit can be supplied with an external temperature and relative humidity sensor.

With the CF-1, the following parameters can be easily determined:
- Flow (actual and normalized)
- Volume (actual and normalized)
- Atmospheric pressure
- Temperature and relative humidity (with external sensor)
The standard supplied software allows you to apply correction factors after re-certification of the instrument for the most accurate readings.
Continuous Monitoring and Data Logging
Another application enables continuous logging of all measured and calculated parameters to your PC over time.
