Environmental Immission

Ravebo B.V. is active in the field of sampling equipment for ambient air and online particulate matter monitors for performing immission measurements. These instruments are often deployed in projects or permanently in monitoring networks to assess the quality of ambient air. Similar instrumentation is also used for stationary workplace measurements in practice.

Constant Flow Sampling Pumps

immission sampling pumpThe QB1 is a compact pressure-compensated constant flow sampling pump equipped with flow meters and a dry gas meter. Due to its compactness, robustness, and ease of use, these pumps are ideal for emission and immission sampling.

Electronically Controlled Sampling Pump

Various models of programmable and constant flow pumps with electronically controlled flow rates are available. These models range from 1 to 50 liters/minute. The pumps are fully programmable and ideal for sequential sampling of dust or gaseous components. In combination with a filter change system and an LVS PM sampling head, particulate sampling of PM10 or PM2.5 can be carried out in accordance with EN 12341. For specific immission sampling of substances like dioxins or PAHs—which can occur in both particulate-bound and gaseous form—we supply customized samplers.

1PMx - 1PMxHV

DadolabThe 1PMx and 1PMxHV are electronically controlled constant flow pumps designed to take a single sample. The flow is measured and kept constant using an orifice meter. The pump unit is available as a Low Volume Sampler (LVS sampler) with a rotary pump capacity of 4.5 m³/h or 8.5 m³/h, and as a High Volume Sampler (100 – 600 lpm). The robust outdoor sampler concept makes it possible to perform particulate matter sampling according to EN12341 with an EN-LVS sampling head. A PUF cartridge can be integrated for sampling PAHs. The unit is equipped with extensive data logging. Optionally, the instrument can be fitted with sensors for wind speed and direction. This provides additional information on weather conditions during sampling and makes it possible to activate sampling only when wind is coming from a specific direction.

Sequential PMx Samplers

The DadoLab PMx sequential samplers are based on a multifunctional processor with a filter changing system. This allows sampling to be programmed and measurement data to be exported. This processor with filter changing system can be placed in a 19” rack system. The processor can control two sampling lines and two filter change systems simultaneously; for example, it is possible to carry out simultaneous PM10 and PM2.5 sampling. Each line’s filter change system has a capacity of 21 filters. For stand-alone use, the system is available in a suitable outdoor housing with sampling pump(s). Optionally, these outdoor systems can be equipped with air conditioning for maintaining filter storage < 23°C and sensors for wind speed and direction.

Model Giano and Gemini

The Giano model is an outdoor sequential sampler system for single-line particulate sampling. The Gemini model is a sequential sampler for dual-line particulate sampling. Each line can hold 21 filters. Unique to DadoLab filter cassettes is the integrated RFID chip. Measurement data is stored not only in the memory of the sampler, but also individually on each filter cassette. With the optional RFID reader, cassettes can be programmed and read. The flow is measured and maintained via an orifice meter. The pump unit is available with rotary pump capacities of 4.5 m³/h or 8.5 m³/h.

Online Particulate Monitors

For continuous online particulate monitoring, Ravebo B.V. supplies, maintains, and calibrates Grimm Aerosol spectrometers. The measurement principle is based on optical particle counting, in which each particle is counted and classified by size. This instrumentation is ideal for online PM10, PM2.5, and PM1 determination. The stationary aerosol spectrometers for continuous PM measurements can be expanded with a CPC, a nano sensor, or even a full SMPS system. The 19” rack model Grimm EDM180 is widely used in networks for online PM10 and PM2.5 monitoring. This monitor uses a permeation dryer (Nafion® membrane) to condition the air before it reaches the measuring cell. This virtually eliminates losses due to heating and measurement errors caused by high humidity. The EDM180 is certified by various authorities as equivalent to EN12341 for particulate matter measurements.
